Over the last 20 years, the ramming pastes have been studied and improved in order to reduce the people exposure to hazardous components during ramming operations. Unfortunately, pastes available on the market still contain either carcinogenic products as PaH components or phenol and the regulation evolution requires substitution of these components as soon as it becomes possible.
A new paste has been developed to get rid of any carcinogenic compounds and furthermore any hazardous components from its formulation. Standard physico-chemical properties of the paste have been studied, with some specific characterizations which will be detailed. After several successful start-up pots, the latest results will be given and commented, including pot lining conditions.
